Taking advantage of social media is increasingly a must for organizations.  This includes companies wanting to stay in touch with employees and unions connecting with their members.  The question that many people ask is how best to do it.  People are also concerned about misuses as news highlights instances where people have had to apologize, been disciplined, or faced legal consequences.  This session will share some practical advice on how to take proper advantage of social media while also covering the potential dangers.  As such, this program looks at how to maximize social media as a communication tool while also explaining its implications for employment law.  Attorneys, labor relation professionals, union officials, and communication specialists should all find this program interesting and useful.

Do’s and Don’ts Presenters

Braxton Payne is Director of Digital Media Communications with The Kelley Group.

Cindy Flynn is a supervisory attorney with the National Labor Relations Board, Region 14.

Neale Sutcliff is a field examiner with the National Labor Relations Board, Region 14.
